Introduction
We visited BonBon-Land on July 12th, 2025, from 10:30 to 15:30 for our first official ParkRating visit. Even as we sit down to write this review, we still do not fully know what we experienced during those five hours. Between the completely original theming and the accompanying characters - which delicately swing from goofy and endearing to straight-up cursed - one thing is for certain: you won’t find this experience anywhere outside of BonBon-Land. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, we will let you decide.
BonBon-Land Review
Best Coaster

The best coaster in the park is Vild-Svinet, the world's very first Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter. While the ride is undoubtedly historic, the actual experience is just okay. The vertical lift hill and steep first drop are great, as always, and the vertical loop is both smooth and fairly forceful. Unfortunately, the pacing pretty much dies at that point, meandering through some jerky left and right turns before a small jump into the brake run.
The ride is quite rough in the front row, though surprisingly smoother in the back (we are not sure how the physics on that work, but apparently, this isn't the only Euro-Fighter to boast this "feature"). Overall, Vild-Svinet is a decent thrill ride, but it is best to go into it with tempered expectations. Otherwise, you might leave a bit disappointed—and maybe with a headache, too.

Coaster Depth

BonBon-Land's supporting coaster lineup is every bit as weird as the rest of the park. Hankatten is a decent spinning coaster - and if you love spinning, it's downright great. Viktor Vandorm is a large, custom Zierer Tivoli coaster placed around completely non-existent terrain, featuring a station hanging awkwardly over a pathway for no reason other than the fact that it was relocated from a German park that actually had the hills the coaster was originally built around.
BonBon-Land does, of course, feature the legendary dog fart coaster (Hundeprutterutchebane), which unfortunately falls well below our official rating criteria - though it is easily a 10 out of 10 in our hearts. Beyond those three, that's really all there is. The supporting lineup technically exists, but only barely.

Water Rides

The water rides at BonBon-Land are decent, and they lend themselves nicely to the park's eccentric theming. Bæver-rafting is a solid Intamin river rapids ride that feels oddly high-quality compared to many of the other attractions here. It features a nice scenic route and a satisfying duration, even if it is a bit lacking in the actual rapids department.
Vandrotten is a fascinating, self-built log flume featuring three standard drops and some truly bizarre theming. It strikes the perfect balance of being impressive yet deeply cursed, reminding you exactly what kind of park you are visiting. While the water lineup overall isn't mind-blowing, it is still significantly better than what you would normally expect from a park like this.
Vandrotten is a fascinating, self-built log flume featuring three standard drops and some truly bizarre theming. It strikes the perfect balance of being impressive yet deeply cursed, reminding you exactly what kind of park you are visiting. Flatrides And Darkrides

This category took a major hit to its score, as the park's Zamperla Giant Discovery, Svend Svingarm, was down for our entire visit. Compounding the issue, the park's swinging ship and Zamperla Disk-O-Coaster were also closed, leaving behind a severely depleted and lackluster flat ride lineup.
Thankfully, the drop tower, Cobra Tårnet, was a massive surprise. This small Fabbri tower punches well above its humble size, packing an incredibly crazy punch that makes it a true standout in the park.
The park's only dark ride is a self-built boat ride called Søløven. It was... well... interesting, to say the least. There is also a 4D Cinema located near the entrance that felt quite cheap and underwhelming, but it's there! Ultimately, it is clear that this park really needs its largest flat ride operational to be truly competitive in this category.

Where do we even begin? The obvious positive is that the park truly committed to its unique theming and style; they went all out and were not afraid that some people might find it inappropriate or even offensive. We both remember the BonBon candy from when we were kids, and it really is a wacky, fun world to build a brand around. There are plenty of themed characters and play structures scattered around the park, and they even have their own theme song!
However, there is more to a park's appearance than just having a distinct style, and BonBon-Land still has a lot they can improve on. The biggest issue is the current state of certain areas and attractions. While some zones are nice and lively, a few corners of the park give off an almost "forgotten" vibe, complete with overgrown grass and closed attractions that look like they haven't run in years. A prime example of this is the neglected area surrounding the swinging ship (which was also closed).
Some rides could also desperately use some TLC. We have never heard more transitionally cursed audio than the sewer rats attempting to "sing" inside Vandrotten, blasted through speakers that sounded like they had been running continuously since the early 1980s.

We genuinely think that a revitalized BonBon-Land - leaning into that same wacky world but with upgraded theming, modern animatronics, fresh paint, and general maintenance - could easily be one of the best-looking parks in the country. Until then, BonBon-Land teeters right on the edge of being either cute and wacky or cursed and uncomfortable.

Park Practicality
5BonBon-Land has a peculiar layout that essentially forms a large circle, though the entry sequence routes you along an outer pathway before you actually enter from the northwest side of the park. Luckily, the terrain itself is flat and features numerous connecting pathways, making it fairly easy to traverse.
However, for a park with such a straightforward footprint, there are a surprising number of dead ends as well as a few sections that just feel completely "dead." Practicality takes a further hit due to a severe lack of physical signage and the complete absence of a mobile app. Because of these navigational hurdles, we can't score this category very high on our scale.

Food
6The food selection at BonBon-Land was decent with burgers, pizzas and a Mexican buffet. You can also have your own barbeques at the park. We went with burgers which we initially thought were going to be bad given that they were quite cold, but the taste was surprisingly good and saved them from a bad score. In the end, we were satisfied.
Snacks And Drinks

BonBon-Land also did decent in the snacks department. We had some great loaded soft ice and some surprisingly high-quality bubble tea. Yes, there is definitely a difference. However, the selection was very limited and we really would have thought they would have had more unique options given their theming and the fact they cater to families, but I guess they want people to buy their BonBon-candy from the store.
Ride Operations
6.5This rating is twofold. While we encountered some truly great passenger interactions throughout the park, we also saw mediocre operations and even a few breakdowns, including our very first ride of the day where we had a pile-up on 'Søløven'. However, the base level of dispatches and staff friendliness was quite high so the final score ends somewhere in the middle but solid overall.
Park Management
7BonBon-Land is a weird park, no doubt about it. Luckily, the in-park experience is actually very good. With friendly staff, solid customer service, and a lack of bizarre policies or facility closures, BonBon-Land was well on its way to earning a high management score.
The major downside? Three flat rides were completely closed—including their biggest attraction—and we were only informed of this as we literally stood at the gate, about to enter the park. Overall, if you aren't hit with unexpected closures like these, you should have a great time at this wonderfully weird Danish theme park.
